Lifestyle
Our community is pluralistic and multi-aged, with a strong inclination towards Reform Judaism, which stresses to find the right balance between community life and respect for each family's private lives. Har Halutz belongs to Misgav regional council and it is located in Tefen, on the mountains north of Karmiel and south of Ma'alot.

Administration
We receive all municipal services from Misgav regional council. Other concurrent issues are being dealt with locally, by an elected board. The general assembly gathers occasionally for policy and decision making. We also employ a treasurer, an executive director, a secretary and a gardener. Our settlement's legal status is of a cooperative society and we are being supervised by the communal associations' registrar in the ministry of labor

Committees
The general assembly elects several voluntary committees that carry out varied aspects of out community life. Currently, the following committees are active: education, youth, spiritual life, culture, gardening, security and a steering committee

Education
The education system in Misgav is renowned as unique and high quality that gives the kids a variety of enriching and extra curricular activities, over and above the standards and prerequisites set by the ministry of education.
In Har Halutz itself, we operate a nursery and a preschool, which are administered and financed by the parents. We also operate a kindergarten, which is run by the ministry of education. We also run an afternoon child care center, according to age groups. Nursery through kindergarten enjoy this facility every day. Elementary school children enjoy it three times a week. The older youth enjoy activities with their councilors.
There are several elementary schools in communities around us: in Har Gilon (20 minutes by car), in Ma'ale Zvia (35 minutes by car), Misgav's bi-lingual school (25 minutes by car) and the experimental school in Tefen (15 minutes by car). The junior high school and high school are in Misgav. Extracurricular activities are available both in Har Halutz and in the other communities around it.
Travel to and from these activities and to the schools is available.

Cultural Life and Religion
We celebrate most of the holidays together. At times, there are special activities and parties, organized by the culture committee, or by individual initiatives. In the local community center we have: a club, a library and a reform synagogue. We also have a youth club, a basketball court and a playground. The local youth can also enjoy activities conducted by the reform youth movement, where prayers, Kabbalat Shabbat and study are conducted.
